Devin Haney Inks PRIME Sponsorship Deal Following Ryan Garcia’s Criticism

In a game of one-upmanship, lightweight star Devin Haney signed a sponsorship deal with PRIME drink a day after Ryan Garcia criticized the beverage in a social media rant.

Ryan (24-1, 20 KOs) bad-mouthed PRIME nonstop on Tuesday, talking conspiracy-related stuff that he’d thought up, and left some fans wondering if he was having another one of his episodes. Devin has added to his growing revenue stream with his new endorsement deal. PRIME is quickly becoming a major player in the sports drink market.

Ryan Garcia Slams PRIME

Garcia, 25, was highly critical of the taste of the sports drink PRIME, created by YouTubers Logan Paul and KSI. What’s unclear is the true purpose of Ryan’s outburst about the sports drink. Is jealousy what fueled Ryan’s anger, or is this something personal between him and Logan Paul?

It doesn’t make sense for Ryan to spend time talking about the drink rather than promoting his April 20th fight against WBC light welterweight champion Haney (31-0, 15 KOs) on DAZN PPV at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Haney Seizes the Opportunity

Devin Haney quickly took advantage of Ryan’s criticism of PRIME by inking a deal with the company. This move by Haney could be a way to get on Ryan’s nerves to throw him off mentally ahead of their fight next month.

Recently, Ryan hasn’t seen himself and has been discussing various issues that have disturbed his mind. Some believe that the popular social media star Ryan isn’t focused on his training and thinking about his upcoming fight.

Kingry focuses too much on outside-of-the-ring things and doesn’t seem disengaged. This isn’t the ideal time for Ryan to put his mental energy into things non-boxing-related, and it seems to indicate that he’s not fully attending to his job.

It’s clear to some that Ryan’s mind isn’t on the task at hand—preparing for his clash against the superstar Haney. If Ryan had more talent, he could afford these distractions without it impacting his performance, but he’s not shown that kind of ability yet.
