Gigi Hadid said it’s time to give your Adidas Sambas a break — we’re wearing adidas Gazelles this spring! The trendsetting model swapped the viral sneakers for their closely related sibling, the Gazelle, on a recent day out in New York City, and now, we’re ready to follow suit.
Sambas have dominated the trend cycle for what seems like forever, with style stars like Kendall Jenner and Hadid’s sister Bella slipping into the sneakers. However, the Gazelle has made quite a comeback in recent months, and Hadid is the latest celeb to pull on a pair. Hadid wore her bright red Gazelles with black leggings, white socks, and an oversized black coat, accessorising with a black baseball cap, leather gloves, sunglasses, and a cute mini top-handle bag, plus her groceries from Whole Foods. Is this not the perfect outfit to run errands in, especially with the vibrant zing of scarlet from the sneakers? We know Hadid loves a pop of red styling hack moment, as well as a chic leggings-centric ‘fit, so we’re not surprised to see she’s wearing crimson shoes instead of white or black.
Hadid isn’t the only star who has been living the Gazelle life lately. Emma Watson is a fan, wearing her pair during Milan Fashion Week, and Jennifer Lawrence loves them too. Lisa from the K-pop girl group BLACKPINK tried another style entirely, swapping her Sambas for the Bermuda. Though Sambas and Gazelles never really go out of style, they do tend to switch places as the trending sneaker of the moment, and it appears the Gazelles are ready for their moment in the spotlight again, especially if the Gigi Hadid is wearing them.
