MICHAEL Strahan left Terry Bradshaw confused when he told his Fox NFL Sunday co-star they could be a ‘boyband.’
The former New York Giants star broke off his analysis of an NFL Week 5 game to pay Bradshaw a bizarre compliment.
Strahan and Bradshaw were speaking on the Week 5 edition of Fox NFL Sunday, which also featured host Curt Menefee, Howie Long and Rob Gronkowski.
Former Giants star Strahan was asked for his thoughts on one of the late afternoon games.
But before he broke down the Green Bay Packers’ trip to the Los Angeles Rams, he went off on a strange tangent.
Strahan said, “You think about this matchup and you think of the coaches.
“They’re so good looking they look like a boyband shot.”
And the 52-year-old wasn’t finished with his joke as he then looked to Bradshaw.
“You and me would be a boyband shot if we took a picture together,” he told his co-star.
Bradshaw seemingly enjoyed the joke as the pair shared a laugh on set.
It wasn’t the only time they had a giggle during an entertaining Week 5 show.
Strahan started by thanking Texas Southern University for his hall of fame induction on Friday night.
“It was the first time they’ve done it since 1996,” Strahan said.
Bradshaw interjected and told Strahan, “That’s not true – I went in 1998.”
Before a confused Strahan responded, “You didn’t go to Texas Southern.”
Strahan quickly realized Bradshaw was joking when he said “I think I did.”
The Giants icon then turned the tables on ex-Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Bradshaw.
Michael Strahan’s NFL career
Michael Strahan is one of the most recognizable faces on television.
But he came into his media career off the back of a hugely successful stint in the NFL.
Strahan spent 14 years all with the New York Giants from 1993 to 2007.
He was a seven-time Pro Bowler and helped them win the Super Bowl in 2007 – ending the New England Patriots’ hopes of a perfect season.
Strahan was also a two-time NFL sacks leader and also won Defensive Player of the Year.
The ex-Giants star set the single-season sack record with 22.5 in 2001 – a feat which was matched by J.J. Watt exactly 20 years later.
He is one of the best defensive stars to have ever played the game – finishing with 141.5 career sacks and 854 tackles.
“I don’t think you did,” Strahan said.
“We would know because you would’ve stood out.”
Strahan played for Texas Southern before his legendary 14-year career at the New York Giants.
Bradshaw, meanwhile, went to Louisiana Tech and then was the No. 1 overall pick in 1970.
He spent his entire 13-year pro career with the Pittsburgh Steelers and won four Super Bowls.
The pair have also gone on to become broadcasting icons at Fox.
