According to Fightful Select, WWE has released Superstars Indi Hartwell and Tegan Nox from the company. They are leaving alongside former Money in the Bank winner Baron Corbin.

“The claim within WWE is that the three departures — Indi Hartwell, Tegan Nox, and Baron Corbin — are the only ones leaving in this round,” Sean Ross Sapp said on X.

Sapp later confirmed that these were releases from WWE and that both Hartwell and Nox would become free agents in 90 days.

Real name Samantha De Martin, Hartwell began her professional wrestling career in 2016 with promotions like Shimmer, Riot City Wrestling, and World Series Wrestling. She joined WWE in 2019 when her ring name was changed to Indi Hartwell.

Hartwell made her television debut on Jan. 15, 2020, on NXT in a Number One Contender Battle Royal for the NXT Women’s Championship. She would win her first televised match six months later.

Hartwell would soon join forces with Johnny Gargano, Candice LeRae, and Austin Theory, forming a stable called The Way. Alongside LeRae, Hartwell would eventually win the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship.

One of Hartwell’s most memorable storylines had her in a relationship with fellow superstar Dexter Lumis, a couple fans dubbed InDex, eventually resulting in a wedding between the characters.

Hartwell also won the NXT Women’s Championship at Stand & Deliver on April 1, 2023. She relinquished the title when she was drafted up to Raw.

Born Steffanie Newell, Tegan Nox began wrestling professionally in 2013 in a one-time appearance on Total Nonstop Action Wrestling. She would spend the next four years on promotions like Shimmer Women Athletes, What Culture Pro Wrestling, and World Wonder Ring Stardom.

In 2017, Nox signed with WWE but was unable to participate in the 2017 Mae Young Classic due to an ACL tear. Unfortunately, this would become a theme in her time with WWE.

Nox entered the 2018 Mae Young Classic but was injured in the quarter-finals in a match against Rhea Ripley. She would make her television return in 2019 and have a prominent run, but it would be cut short by another torn ACL.

Nox returned to NXT in July 2021 and soon moved up to the main roster, but was released in November. She was brought back to WWE in 2022 and joined Raw in 2023, working with Natalya in a tag team.
