Woman Buys ‘Boyfriend Pillow,’ Then Catches What Dog Is Doing With It

The internet is in stitches over a pet parent who accidentally interrupted her dog during his nap time with a new friend.

Rebecca Adam, known on TikTok as @rebecky_adam, recently purchased a “boyfriend pillow.” These pillows take the shape of a human, or at least a torso, with its arms jutting out the sides. The design helps to mimic the feeling of hugging or cuddling with a human, providing comfort or companionship. But what was supposed to be a purchase for Adam was quickly overtaken by her dog.

In the clip, Adams walks into her room and sees her dog, Nugget, cuddled up with the pillow. He squeezed his body between the pillow’s arm and the “chest” of the pillow. His snoot rested over the arm.

Instead of moving and pretending he didn’t steal the pillow, he didn’t move an inch. He stared at Adam as she walked into the room. He couldn’t believe she dared to interrupt his time with his boyfriend pillow.

Accepting that her dog stole her new purchase, the caption reads: “It’s Nugget’s pillow now.”

“I laughed and accidentally woke him up,” Adam told Newsweek. “I think it’s so funny and cute. The funniest part is that he doesn’t like cuddling people. He won’t cuddle me; he only cuddles the pillow.”

Many dogs love using pillows for the comfort they provide, according to Dogsterr. Not only are pillows soft and comfortable, but they also smell like a dog’s owner, which gives them security. Wanting to bond with their owners, dogs will use pillows to keep their heads close to their owners.

This wasn’t a one-time incident either. Adam said her dog constantly steals and snuggles that specific pillow. Luckily, she’s not too mad, and she’s accepted the fact that she won’t be getting it back anytime soon.

With nearly 400,000 views and 38,900 likes as of Thursday, TikTok users immediately sided with the dog and claimed that it was clearly his pillow. One viewer said: “Let them be!! Get your own.”

“He stole ur mans,” wrote a viewer.

“I think you’ve lost that pillow,” a TikTok user commented.

“Not him looking at you like your interrupting! This is adorable,” another commenter said.
