Draymond Green has never been one to shy away from speaking his mind. On Thursday, he did just that at the expense of his coach.

Serbia dominated for a majority of the game, and it looked like Nikola Jokic’s squad was on their way to one of the greatest upsets in basketball history. However, in the end, the United States’ superstars came through to set up a Gold Medal match against the home nation, France.
While the U.S. was able to come from behind to win, there were points in which it appeared Serbia was going to pull off the upset. And during the game, Green took to social media to call out his head coach’s rotations.
Green simply wrote, “Sometimes you have to scrap them rotations.” Clearly, he believes the United States could have benefitted from mixing things up as Serbia held a double-digit lead for much of the game.
The biggest storyline during the game was the benching of reigning NBA champion Jayson Tatum. While Tatum was benched during the first game of the tournament against Serbia, Kerr called himself an “idiot” for doing it, and Tatum ended up starting the next game.
However, clearly, Kerr saw something in the matchups against Serbia, as yet again, Tatum was a “DNP.”

Tatum has still had an impressive Olympics, and he likely would have been able to help the United States turn the tide on Thursday. Instead, though, they were able to do it with him on the bench.
It’s unclear if Green was referring to Tatum or just the rotations in general. Serbia dominated the majority of the game, and it took a comeback in the last few minutes to give the U.S. the win.
The Americans haven’t played France yet in this tournament, and the country took down Germany in a thriller to advance to the Gold Medal match. The U.S. will need all hands on deck to slow down big man Victor Wembanyama if they want to win their fifth consecutive gold medal.
