Many retailers and companies offer a live chat feature to provide convenient customer service and resolve issues.

This real-time communication tool gained traction in the early 2000s as an alternative to phone calls and emails.

Live chat connects customers and employees in a monitored, professional setting, but these interactions sometimes stray from formal conversation and take on a more cheeky tone.

FLIRTY FUN

One Walmart shopper found herself engaged in a playful conversation with a customer service representative after filing a delivery complaint.

“Wal-Mart delivered my package to the wrong place and I think I’m dating this customer service agent now,” joked Walmart customer Neely in an X post from Monday, sharing screenshots of the exchange.

The entire conversation is not visible, but Neely’s first message simply reads, “Thank you.”

Walmart Delivery Policy

Walmart’s delivery fees vary based on the type of delivery and whether or not a customer is a Walmart+ member.

  • Walmart+ members: free delivery for orders $35 or more, and a $5.99 fee for orders under $35
  • Standard delivery: $9.95 delivery fee
  • 3-hour or less delivery: standard delivery fee plus a $5 fee
  • Express delivery: $10 Express fee plus any existing delivery fee

Despite the shopper’s short text, the customer service agent messaged back with an endearing message.

“Aww… You are truly a kind-hearted person with such a beautiful name and I guess this from your thankful behaviors you deserve my salute,” he wrote.

Neely responded casually once again, thanking the Walmart employee and calling him “very sweet.”

“Rest assured I would love to take care of you with the best possible resolution from my side,” responded the associate lightheartedly.

The messages continued, filled with charm and compliments.

“I will be honest with you, you have been the most calm and understanding customer I have dealt with today. You have a beautiful heart,” wrote the Walmart worker.

“I hope all customers are like you. Kindly feel free to ask me if you need further assistance, as I am still here for you.”

“Omg,” Neely captioned the image of the conversation.

Another user joked about the over-the-top messages in the comment section.

“Wow you didn’t even get dinner first lol,” he wrote.

Walmart even responded to Neely’s post.

“Neely, please feel free to send us a message if you have any other questions or concerns,” wrote the retail giant.

Other Walmart customers have shared their not-so-pleasant experiences with the retailer on social media.

One shopper complained about how they walked out after being denied a payment method, blasting the “ridiculous” policy.

Another Walmart customer left with nothing after a worker refused to finish her order and walked off.
