For customers who haven’t unlocked all the benefits a membership provides, Walmart+ is offering what may be the season’s biggest Black Friday deal: a one-year annual Walmart+ membership for just $49.
This half-priced offer is valid until Dec. 2 and will allow customers to enjoy a full year of benefits such as free delivery on millions of items, exclusive savings on dining, fuel and travel, free video streaming and more.
The annual sale should go smoothly after Walmart assured customers it’s investigating technical issues with its mobile application.
Several customers have cited the alleged problems this month, noting particular troubles with grocery delivery.
Getting items delivered straight to their front door is an option for all shoppers at the retail giant.
Walmart Plus members, however, don’t have to pay a standard fee for the service, ranging from around $7 to $10.
Any orders can be completed through Walmart’s website or app, but some have claimed the app’s buttons are malfunctioning.
“@Walmart your grocery ordering through the app has gotten annoying recently,” a customer fumed in a post on X last week.
They claimed that some of the items listed on the app for ordering no longer have the “add” to cart button appearing, making them have to troubleshoot the issue consistently.
“A lot of the items no longer have the ‘add’ button. You have to click on the item, take it off subscribe (which I have never used) then click add,” the customer noted.
“This just started, and it’s pretty annoying. Update?”
Walmart quickly replied that it wanted more information on the problem and asked the customer to message the official X account in a private conversation.
It’s unclear if the issue was resolved.
