Back in May Oleksandr Usyk made boxing history when he became the first undisputed world heavyweight champion in the modern 4-belt era. Usyk earned the honor when was awarded a 12 round split decision against Tyson Fury. In addition to defending his unified championship, which included the IBF, WBA, and WBO titles, Usyk added the WBC belt to his collection, and he likewise earned a valid claim as lineal world champion.
Usyk and Fury are scheduled to have a rematch on December 21st that will be streamed live worldwide on DAZN.

At their fairly recent press conference, in a mutual expression of good sportsmanship, Fury signed a picture at Usyk’s request, a picture of a mighty punch Usyk landed on Fury, which was the punch that got Fury into trouble when he suffered a knock down in round 9 of their first fight. To this day, a lot of fans believe that Usyk was robbed of a knockout victory, due to interference from referee Mark Nelson. Is that true? Was Usyk robbed of a KO win against Fury?
This edition of Rummy’s Corner will attempt to answer that question, while also providing a quick breakdown of the sequence that led to the knock down, and also some quick thoughts about their December 21st rematch. Please watch and enjoy the video for one man’s opinion. This is Rummy’s Corner (produced and narrated by Geoffrey Ciani).
