Two WWE Superstars Injured After Survivor Series: WarGames

Two WWE Superstars Injured After Survivor Series: WarGames

WWE Survivor Series 2024 was filled with all of the high-flying spots and incredible match ups fans have come to expect from the annual event.

This was especially true in both of the WarGames matches. However, some of the high-risk maneuvers in the main event seem to have resulted in two popular WWE Superstars getting injured.

In the press conference after the premium live event (PLE), Jey Uso revealed that his brother, Jimmy Uso, had suffered a broken toe during the match.

“Yeah, my brother broke his toe on this big splash tonight,” Jey said as CM Punk came in with Jimmy.

The other Superstar who was injured came from the other team: “Big” Bronson Reed.

According to a report from Corey Brennan of Fightful Select, Reed suffered an ankle injury during the WarGames match.

“[W]hile Reed’s Tsunami from the top of the cage was always supposed to take him out of the match, we were told that Bronson suffered an injury to one of, and possibly both, of his ankles on landing,” the report read. “Reed also required assistance to get to the back following the match.”

The report was later updated to say that Reed will “get scans done Monday.”

WWE Chief Content Officer and Head of Creative Triple H later confirmed that Reed will be questionable for “a few weeks.”

Reed addressed the injury himself on social media, saying, “Injuries are temporary. Moments are forever.”

Fortunately, the rest of the participants of the Men’s WarGames match appear to be alright. This includes Jacob Fatu, who sold a significant leg injury during the match.

“Fightful Select’s Corey Brennan confirmed that while Fatu was not planned to heavily sell his leg, he was not hurt following the awkward landing and made the decision to heavily sell his leg following the spot.”

CM Punk also confirmed that no one else was hurt at the press conference.

Jimmy had been dealing with an undisclosed injury after his loss to Jey at WrestleMania 40 Night 2. He made his triumphant return at Bad Blood to help Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes defeat the new Bloodline.

Meanwhile, Reed has built a ton of momentum this year, quickly establishing himself as one of the most dangerous wrestlers in WWE.

Both wrestlers have been on an upward trajectory recently. Hopefully, this won’t be a huge step in their rise to greatness.
