NFL fans are getting their first look at Travis Kelce in his newest project on Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?
Kelce is dropping multiple Hollywood projects this NFL season, and the first of them is coming in the form of a game show.
Amazon Prime Video dropped their first look at Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity, a show featuring Kelce as the host and a plethora of other guests.
Big names such as Nikki Glaser, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Chad Ochocinco, and Lilly Singh will feature as guests on the show.
“‘Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?’ offers a fun, new twist on the premise of the original popular format,” the show’s logline says.
“Each game will welcome an adult contestant who will rely on a classroom full of celebrities from comedy, screen, and sports to help them answer 11 questions on a range of subjects pulled from elementary curriculum in an effort to win a $100,000 prize.
“They are not competing against the stars… they’re enlisting their help and, in some cases, can even ‘cheat’ off of them.
“And on the final question, worth $100,000, the contestant selects one celebrity to discuss the answer with before locking in.
“The final question is always at the 6th-grade level.”
NFL fans have shared mixed opinions on social media about Kelce’s venture into Hollywood.
“Looking forward to that! Travis is so silly,” one fan said.
“Celebrity is such a loose term these days,” another fan said.
“Wouldn’t even watch it!” a third fan said.
“Oh my word he’s so good!!” a fourth fan said.
“He is perfect for this,” a fifth fan said.
Kelce debuted another role last month, this time in the form of a drama in FX’s Grotesquerie.
The first two episodes of the show are already out, and it is receiving solid reviews.
Travis Kelce The Actor
NFL star Travis Kelce recently landed his first major acting role and has a new cameo
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end plans to become a “heavyweight” figure in music and entertainment.
Kelce has seen his star power rise after going public with his girlfriend Taylor Swift last summer.
The 34-year-old has now been cast in the new horror series Grotesquerie.
Directed by American Horror Story creator Ryan Murphy, the drama is set to land on FX this fall.
Kelce will appear in the show alongside Niecy Nash-Betts, Courtney B. Vance, and Lesley Manville.
In August, Adam Sandler confirmed Travis will make a cameo in his upcoming Happy Gilmore sequel.
The news comes after Travis previously showed interest in appearing in a possible reboot.
Grotesquerie currently has a 6.2/10 rating on IMDB.
Kelce spent a busy offseason filming for his Hollywood roles, and it may have impacted his prep to start the season.
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end started the season with just eight catches for 69 yards through the first three weeks of the season.
He appears to be warming up though, as he caught seven passes for 89 yards in Week 4.
Kelce has yet to score a touchdown in the 2024 season.
