The show returned Wednesday for its season 3 premiere and Jason asked Travis about his time spent practicing with the team.

“All right let’s get to a little training camp Trav,” Jason said.

Travis revealed he reported to the Chiefs training camp on July 19.

The All-Pro tight end then said he officially has spent an entire year of his life in St. Joe Missouri, which is where the Chiefs training camp is held.

Travis is entering his 12th season as an NFL player and spends at least a month each season at training camp.

“12 years of sitting in the same dorm room over there at Missouri Western State University,” Travis said.

“I feel like I uh kind of go to jail every time I do this but it’s like a sanctuary at this point for me.

“Kind of like it gets me in the like headspace of like I get to work on my craft and not think about anything else that’s going on.

“And like I can really tune up, you know my athletic abilities, and I learned to really love it out there.”

The Chiefs’ training camp ended on August 15 and the team played their final preseason game on August 22.

Travis played briefly in the preseason catching two passes for a total of 15 yards in two games.

Kelce will look to improve this season after a disappointing year for his standards.

The Chiefs’ tight end did not surpass 1,000 receiving yards after previously going past that number in the past seven seasons.

Kelce secured 93 catches for 984 yards and five touchdowns during the 2023 season.

Travis Kelce The Actor

NFL star Travis Kelce recently landed his first major acting role and has a new cameo

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end plans to become a “heavyweight” figure in music and entertainment.

Kelce has seen his star power rise after going public with his girlfriend Taylor Swift last summer.

The 34-year-old has now been cast in the new horror series Grotesquerie.

Directed by American Horror Story creator Ryan Murphy, the drama is set to land on FX this fall.

Kelce will appear in the show alongside Niecy Nash-Betts, Courtney B. Vance, and Lesley Manville.

In August, Adam Sandler confirmed Travis will make a cameo in his upcoming Happy Gilmore sequel.

The news comes after Travis previously showed interest in appearing in a possible reboot.

His touchdown total was down significantly from his past three seasons.

Kelce scored 12 touchdowns in 2022, nine in 2021, and 11 in 2020.

The Chiefs tight end is also trying to make more history this upcoming season.

He is looking to be part of the first three-peat in NFL history.

The Chiefs won the past two Super Bowls, 2022 against the Philadelphia Eagles and last year against the San Francisco 49ers.

If the Chiefs win the Super Bowl next season, they will become the first team to accomplish the feat three times in a row.

Meanwhile, Travis and Jason have been thriving since the return of New Heights.

The two NFL icons struck a $100 million deal with Amazon’s Wondery studio to distribute the show.

The Amazon deal gives Wondery exclusive ad sales and distribution rights to New Heights, per Variety.

The contract will run for three years and is said to be worth more than $100 million.

Fans will still be able to access the podcast on a variety of platforms that homed the podcast before, including YouTube.

The New Heights podcast airs every Wednesday at 9:30 am.
