Trader Joe’s shoppers can’t wait to get their hands on a popular Korean beverage.

Earlier this week, Natasha Fischer, who runs the popular Instagram account @TraderJoesList, shared several new and returning Trader Joe’s items.

One of those items happened to be Soon Hari Soju, a popular Korean beverage.

Soon Hari, also known as Soonhari, is a brand of Korean soju, which is a clear, distilled spirit made from rice, potatoes, sweet potatoes, or tapioca.

Soonhari means “smooth” in Korean.

Soon Hari Soju is known for its sweet and crisp taste, along with a refreshingly cool finish.

The beverage offers a refreshing, subtle blend of fruit flavors.

Beverage enthusiasts enjoy the drink straight out of the bottle, or mixed with additional ingredients to create delicious cocktails.

The drink can be served neat, chilled, on the rocks, or as a base or added touch to mixed drinks, like soda, tonic, or flavored sodas.

Soon Hari comes in a variety of flavors, including strawberry, apple, citron, apple mango, grape, peach, and yogurt.

A typical bottle typically contains about 400 to 500 calories.

Soon Hari Soju is somewhat comparable to vodka, though it has a lower alcohol content, a sweeter taste, and can be used for shots and sipping alike.

The drink has a 12.5% ABV, which is comparable to a serving of wine.

So far, Trader Joe’s enthusiasts have noticed a few select flavors in-stores, including strawberry, grape, and peach options.

COMING SOON?

As of September 5, it’s unclear whether Soon Hari Soju will be available at select stores or at all Trader Joe’s locations nationwide.

It’s also unknown whether the store plans to carry the item year-round, or if the beverages will only be around for a limited time.

Trader Joe’s corporate office did not immediately return The U.S. Sun’s request for comment.

However, a store employee at the chain’s Marina Del Rey, California location did confirm that while they are unaware whether the item will stick around for long, it is the first time Soon Hari Soju is being sold at their Trader Joe’s store.

The employee also confirmed that their Trader Joe’s store has sold other Soju beverages, by different brands in the past.

A 375 ml bottle of Soon Hari Soju typically retails from $5.99 to $7.99 at competing retailers like Jewel-Osco, Target, and select wine and liquor stores.

While the exact price has not been confirmed by Trader Joe’s Corporate, the Trader Joe’s List Instagram account reports that a 375 ml bottle at the chain’s Marina Del Rey location retails for $4.99, which a store employee confirmed.
