The Boston Bruins finished their game against the Seattle Kraken on Thursday night short a forward.
Elias Lindholm logged 6:56 of ice time across 12 shifts before taking an awkward hit on a follow-through on the dump-in by Brandon Montour roughly eight minutes into the second period. It’s unclear if that particular play was how Lindholm got injured, but nothing else stood out in the game.
The Bruins announced between the second and third periods that Lindholm would not return with an upper-body injury.
Lindholm has three goals and 10 assists across 30 games with the Bruins to begin the 2024-25 season. Boston signed Lindholm on the first day of free agency in the offseason. He notched 15 goals and 29 assists between the Calgary Flames and Vancouver Canucks last season.
