TOM Brady’s appearance on Fox NFL Sunday left fans confused – and maybe his co-stars too.

The 47-year-old former quarterback was part of Fox’s pregame show ahead of Week 7 action.

But Brady’s cameo came with a difference from his usual appearances on the show.

He is normally in a broadcast booth and talking back to the Fox NFL Sunday studio guests.

But on Sunday, host Curt Menefee beamed in Brady to the set via hologram.

A suited-up Brady stood in the Fox studio in between Jimmy Johnson and Michael Strahan.

And fans noticed how uncomfortable Terry Bradshaw looked stood next to Howie Long, Strahan and Brady.

“Jimmy Johnson and Terry Bradshaw seem very confused by hologram Tom Brady,” one fan said.

Another posted, “Jimmy Johnson has no idea what to do with this Tom Brady virtual appearance.”

Brady’s segment lasted five minutes before he was beamed back out of the studio.

Strahan then invited Johnson to move closer after Brady’s hologram took up his spot.

And New York Giants icon Strahan said, “The technology is very good expect for the fact Tom Brady is not bigger than me, I’ll tell you that now.”

Brady’s hologram appearance came ahead of him calling a Super Bowl rematch Sunday.

The 47-year-old joined Kevin Burkhardt and Erin Andrews at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

The top Fox team was on the broadcast for the Kansas City Chiefs against the San Francisco 49ers.

Brady sat down with Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes for an interview to preview the showdown.

And the studio crew asked Brady for his thoughts on Mahomes’ evolution as a quarterback.

The Tom Brady domino effect

Tom Brady will take his seat in Fox’s top NFL announce team alongside Kevin Burkhardt.

And his arrival at the network has set off a domino effect with every other announcer moving down one spot.

That means Fox’s NFL coverage in 2024 will feature entirely new broadcast pairings.

Greg Olsen, who previously worked alongside Burkhardt, will now be part of the No. 2 announce team with Joe Davis.

The other Fox pairings for 2024 are:

  • Adam Amin-Mark Sanchez
  • Kenny Albert-Jon Vilma
  • Kevin Kugler-Daryl Johnston
  • Chris Myers-Mark Schlereth

“Mahomes knows he has a great defence,” Brady said.

“He’s going to take what the defence gives him and he’s going to try and make all the right plays early in the game.

“The when he needs it, he’ll make the plays. But he’s doing such a good job managing the game and that’s his evolution.

“He was putting up monster touchdown numbers but the team has changed and lost some of it’s weapons.

“Because of that, he’s turned into a guy that is there to perform when it matters the most.

“To him it doesn’t matter if he gets four touchdowns – he ultimately wants to get the win.”

Brady won seven Super Bowls in his career while Mahomes has three to his name already.

“That’s how I evolved as a player,” Brady said.

“It became less about being in the MVP race and a Pro Bowler to ‘Am I good enough for my team to win today?’

“That’s rarified air because it gives you a chance to improve every single week and game.”
