TERRY Bradshaw thinks it is the end of an era for the Dallas Cowboys as their season slides into misery.
The Pittsburgh Steelers icon spoke on Fox NFL Sunday ahead of another shocking home loss for Dallas in Week 10.
The Cowboys were hammered 34-6 by the Philadelphia Eagles at their AT&T Stadium home.
It was the sixth loss in nine games for Dallas with their season apparently going nowhere.
Quarterback Dak Prescott is out through injury, but that is just the tip of the iceberg in the Cowboys’ problems.
Head coach Mike McCarthy is out of contract at the end of the season.
Owner Jerry Jones has faced a number of questions on potentially firing the coach before the season out.
And speaking on Fox NFL Sunday, Bradshaw said, “I think Mike McCarthy is probably going to get released at the end of the year.
“They had three years in a row where they had 12-5 seasons but they haven’t won one playoff game.
“Their quarterback is out now.
“They’ve spent $360 million on a quarterback, wide receiver (CeeDee Lamb) and defensive cornerback in Trevon Diggs.”
Owner Jones claimed he would stick with McCarthy through the end of the season.
“I don’t believe we’ll make a coaching change during the season,” he told reporters.
Bradshaw even suggested that Dallas should move on from one of their best players in an effort to rebuild.
“They’ve got to sign Parsons,” he began.
“But my answer to Dallas’ problems is they need more talent so I would take Parsons and I wouldn’t sign him.
“He’s in his fourth year and would be in his fifth year.
“Trade him and get an extra No. 1.”
Philadelphia moved to 7-2 for the season to lead the NFC East division.
They’re half a game ahead of the Washington Commanders at 7-3.
And Dallas’ playoff chances all but extinguished as they fell to 3-6.
Cooper Rush came in at quarterback in place of Prescott.
But he completed just 13 of 23 passes for 45 yards and was hooked for Trey Lance late in the game.
