AN ACTRESS who starred in one of the biggest films in the 1990s has barely aged over thirty years later.
In 1990 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was released and became a box office smash hit, with fans also warming to one of its main characters.
Played by Judith Hoag, the role of April O’Neill was an integral part of the film as the turtles first human friend.
Despite the first film being a huge success, Judith didn’t return for the sequels and was instead replaced by Paige Turco.
Now the star looks youthful as ever, despite being 61 years old.
With her recognisable auburn hair, she’s still commanding a legion of fans who follow her acting career and regularly beg for the star to return to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles films.
Outside of her role as April O’Neill, Judith has gone on to build a huge career in film and TV.
Some of her most notable roles include Gwen Piper in Halloweentown, Molly in Cadillac Man and Denise in Armageddon.
Her more recent appearances on screen include Ruby in Laugh Love Karaoke, Jennifer Sinclair in Finding You and Stephanie Quinn in The Magicians.
Interestingly in 2016 Judith was set to return to the world of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles with a cameo role in the film’s release.
The small part would have seen her alongside new April O’Neill star Megan Fox, but unfortunately the scene was cut.
Despite not making it into the most recent reincarnation, there has been call from fans and those that worked on the original to see Judith return.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles writer Tom Waltz has revealed he wants to see the legacy cast member return as April O’Neill in the upcoming film Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin.
In a new interview with Screen Rant, he explained: “My dream is for the lovely and talented Judith Hoag to be a part of something we do in other media for THE LAST RONIN.”
