TARGET has officially introduced its Thanksgiving meal deal for this year, and customers can feed their entire family for just $20.
The retail giant hailed the food and drink offering as its cheapest ever, priced even $5 less than in 2023.
Affordability is crucial for Target this holiday season, as it seeks to “help consumers stretch their budgets,” per a Monday press release.
While the whole meal is $5 cheaper, the turkey included in the offering also costs at least 20% less than last year.
Target’s Thanksgiving meal feeds four people and comes with six sides for those celebrating.
Included in the deal are a frozen turkey, russet potatoes, green beans, cream of mushroom soup, jellied cranberry sauce, a stuffing mix, and home-style roasted turkey gravy.
The chain recommended that customers double it for $40 to serve eight if they’re having a larger gathering.
Some other sides of cheddar mac and cranberry goat cheese and desserts like apple and pumpkin pie can be included for under $5 each.
There are also other “hosting and gift-giving options” like wine, flowers, charcuterie, appetizers, and more that customers can select from at low prices.
Target even seeks to help families prepare the day before Thanksgiving.
PIZZA BONUS
According to data obtained by the retailer, the night before Thanksgiving is one of the “most popular pizza days of the year,” as everyone needs something to eat, but a lot of cooking takes place over the holiday.
Pizza is a quick and easy option to feed everyone.
To help out, those with a Target Circle 360 membership can get a free frozen pizza with same-day delivery between November 13 and 16.
Target’s executive vice president and chief commercial officer, Rick Gomez, said big celebrations like Thanksgiving are the retailer’s specialty.
“When it comes to our goal of celebrating food and beverage, big events like Thanksgiving — and smaller moments throughout the holiday season — are where Target shines the brightest,” Gomez noted in Monday’s release.
“From lowering the price of our Thanksgiving dinner menu to just $20 to a range of hosting and gifting options and special Target Circle 360 offerings, we’re serving up the kind of exceptional quality and value that sets Target apart.”

COMPETING OFFERS
Target’s Thanksgiving deal is also the cheapest, considering similar offers from competitors like Walmart and Aldi.
Earlier this month, Walmart confirmed its Thanksgiving offering at just over $50, except it feeds eight instead of 10 like last year.
Aldi’s Thanksgiving option feeds 10 for $47.
Target also recently dropped prices on over 2,000 items for the holiday season.
Products like bath towels, beauty essentials, beverages, board games, cookies, cold medicine, cough medicine, frozen veggies, ice cream, toilet paper, and various snacks are included in the cost cuts.
