“This is why I don’t shop at Walmart,” the user wrote on X.

“This is just ghetto and unhinged.

“How y’all don’t take Apple Pay?”

Another X user threatened to shop at a competitor.

“Can Walmart support Apple Pay? Like I’m gonna just start going to competitors” they said.

Walmart does not accept Apple Pay for in-store, online, or self-checkout purchases.

The retail giant instead has its own digital payment platform titled Walmart Pay.

Users must download the Walmart app, select the payment method, and then scan the QR code at the register.

Walmart also offers other payment methods such as credit/debit cards, cash, or gift cards.

The retailer is one of the few stores to not offer Apple Pay, sparking outrage among some shoppers.

The U.S. Sun contacted Walmart for comment but it did not immediately respond.

The company’s refusal to offer Apple Pay for consumers is not the only thing that has sparked outrage among customers.

The US Sun has previously reported a number of customer complaints.

CHECKOUT WOES

Frustration has been growing over the company’s use of self-checkout systems.

One Walmart shopper felt forced to leave their cart after an unusual encounter with an employee.

In an X post from last month, they detailed how the situation unfolded on their first visit to Walmart in a long time.

The customer explained they were checking out when an employee began taking their items out of their cart.

They claimed the Walmart worker then cut up the packaging of their groceries with a utility knife.

“[The employee] then threw my Gatorade all over the floor,” fumed the Walmart shopper.

“I left about 200 dollars worth of food there.”

Other retailers have had to deal with abandoned carts from angry shoppers.

A Sam’s Club shopper ditched his cart with $270 worth of items because he was blocked from checkout despite being a member.

Plus, a Kroger customer abandoned their cart with $200 in groceries over a checkout change.
