Sydney Sweeney’s New Horror Film ‘Immaculate’ Looks Seriously Creepy

Here’s everything we know so far about Immaculate.

What is Immaculate about?

The official plot synopsis for the movie reads: “An American nun embarks on a new journey when she joins a remote convent in the Italian countryside. However, her warm welcome quickly turns into a living nightmare when she discovers her new home harbours a sinister secret and unspeakable horrors.”

When the trailer for Immaculate first dropped on X, the most goddess-like tagline for the film was posted: “The Father. The Son. The Sydney Sweeney”. Something tells us there might be some bad omens at play here, let’s hope Sydney’s got her wits about her.

Who has been cast in Immaculate?

Immaculate was filmed on location in Rome, undoubtedly at or not far from Vatican City, so the majority of the supporting cast is Italian – including Simona Tabasco (who also appeared in The White Lotus), Benedetta Porcaroli, Niccolò Senni and Dora Romano. Alvaro Morte will also appear, who you may recognise from Netflix’s Money Heist.

When will Immaculate be out?

It will be in cinemas from 22 March.

Is there a trailer for Immaculate?

Yes, there is. According to the trailer, it looks like what might be “immaculate” is a certain conception by Sydney Sweeney’s nun character. Judging by the snippets, it looks like her character falls pregnant – but we’ll have to watch to get the full story.
