SOUTHWEST Airlines has reintroduced one of its popular flight promotions that could let certain people travel for free.
The carrier’s Companion Pass would allow some flyers to bring a plus one on their flights for no extra cost.

This flash promotion is only available to the members of the airline’s rewards program.
Frequent flyers could receive a two-month pass if they purchase or redeem points for a round trip or two one-way flights, according to the airline.
Interested flyers must act fast to snap up this deal as it ends on Thursday, September 5, at 11:59 pm CST.
Members should also note that the purchased flight must be completed before November 20.
The qualifying flight must be flown by the Southwest member looking to retrieve a pass and not by someone else.
Members will then receive an email to confirm they have received the Companion Pass.
This pass would allow flyers to name one person that can travel with them on an unlimited number of flights.
These journeys can take place between January 6 and March 6, 2025.
The airlines vice president for marketing, Jennifer Bridie, shared why Southwest was excited to roll out this deal.
“We love offering this Companion Pass promotion because it allows our Members to experience one of the many benefits of our award-winning Rapid Rewards program,” Bridie said.
These passes can typically be earned by members who fly around 100 qualifying one-way flights or have earned 135,000 qualifying points in one year.
This flash sale has opened up the promotion and unique pass to even more people.

Southwest flyers are entitled to two checked bags free of charge but recent reports suggested this could soon be scrapped.
This has come after an investor in the company hits an ownership threshold that would allow them to influence changes to the business, The U.S. Sun previously reported.
Elliott Investment Management sent a letter to the airline detailing its desires to make changes to increase profits.
The airline reportedly sent questionnaires to its customers to poll them on thoughts about hypothetical bag fees in mid-August, according to Bloomberg.
This move has seemed to suggest the airline could seriously consider scrapping this perk.
Southwest Airlines also announced a huge shake up to its seating policy in July.
The carrier had become known for its unique model that allowed people to sit where they want on a flight.
Southwest revealed it soon would bring in assigned seats and a premium seating area, which would mirror other companies.
