CLASS of 2027 prospect Gunner Rivers is drawing comparisons with Arch Manning.
Like Manning, Rivers has plenty of NFL pedigree within his family.
Manning, 19, is the nephew of Peyton and Eli, and grandson of Archie.
Gunner, meanwhile, is the son of eight-time Pro Bowl star Philip Rivers.
Aged 15, Gunner is set to enter his sophomore year of high school this fall.
He attends Alabama’s Fairhope St. Michael Catholic school.
Earlier this week, 247Sports released their first rankings for the class of 2027.
Elijah Haven, who goes to school in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, was their early No1 selection.
But one name that stood out further down the list was that of Rivers, who came in at No64.
At St Michael, Rivers is coached by his esteemed father Philip.

Last season he completed 229 of his 362 passes for 3,077 yards – adding 29 touchdowns against only four interceptions.
In addition to his statistics, Rivers has drawn comparisons with Arch Manning due to his lack of self promotion.
With plenty of prospects very active on social media, Rivers has maintained a low profile.
The same could be said of Manning, who was silent throughout the recruitment process.
With fans eager for information, he quietly went about his business as he finished his high school career with Isidore Newman in New Orleans.
He eventually settled on Texas, and played twice during his first season with the Longhorns.

Like Manning, Rivers has not maintained an active social media presence, nor has he conducted numerous interviews.
As per CBS Sports, he has received an offer from North Carolina State – the school at which his father starred between 2000 and 2003.
But it is not yet known if Rivers has made any other college visits yet.
And CBS add that his family maintain a “very private” approach.
Quarterback Rivers, 42, was the fourth pick in the 2004 NFL Draft.
He went on to play for the Chargers until 2019, before finishing his career with the Indianapolis Colts in 2020.
