ALDI customers have been raving over its affordable mayonnaise that supposedly competes with name brands at other retailers.

The condiment costs only a few dollars and comes in a family-sized jar to work with most Americans’ grocery budgets.

Lynn Kelley, a frequent Aldi customer, argued that the tase of the supermarket chain’s Burman’s Real Mayonnaise in a 30-ounce jar was nearly indistinguishable from the Hellmann’s Real Mayonnaise sold at Walmart.

“If you use Hellmann’s mayonnaise, Aldi’s brand is exactly the same and much cheaper,” Kelley wrote in a post on Facebook this week.

“Highly recommend it.”

Others felt similarly about Burman’s Real Mayonnaise in comparison.

“Cannot tell the difference between this and Hellmann’s,” someone else commented.

“Yep, agree. Just as good as Hellmans,” another added in agreement.

“All I ever use is Burman’s!” a third exclaimed.

THE DIFFERENCE

Burman’s Real Mayonnaise is an Aldi exclusive and sells for $3.65 per 30-ounce jar.

Hellman’s Real Mayonnaise is made and distributed to several retail giants nationwide and sells at Walmart for $14.91 per 30-ounce jar.

That’s a whopping 76% price difference.

Those who buy Burman’s Real Mayonnaise instead would save about $11.26.

The decision between the two would ultimately come down to shoppers’ budgets and personal preferences.

Some who responded to Kelley’s post said they preferred a third option, Duke’s Real Mayonnaise.

A 30-ounce jar of the Smooth & Creamy version of Duke’s sells at Target for $4.99.

So, there’s an option that’s still relatively affordable for those who don’t want to pay for Hellmann’s but also prefer it over Burman’s.

PLATE PROFIT

There are also some staggering deals going on at Aldi right now for shoppers who are preparing for the holiday season.

A few plates are selling for only $4.99 apiece.

They feature designs of Christmas trees, gingerbread houses, and snowmen.

Similar designs at retailers like Bloomingdale’s are going for $49 per plate.

That’s a 90% price difference, making for another great shopping opportunity.

Aldi Policies

Aldi has several store policies customers should remain aware of. The U.S. Sun has compiled a short list for shoppers’ next trip to their local store.

  • Customers pay one-quarter for a cart and can get the coin back once they return it to the proper spot.
  • There are no baggers and customers typically bag their groceries or cashiers offer assistance.
  • Aldi places products in aisles with the same packaging they were shipped in by vendors to save customers money.
  • Full refunds and exchanges are given through Aldi’s Twice as Nice policy on all Aldi-brand items customers aren’t satisfied with.
  • No plastic bags are sold at any Aldi store.
  • Reusable and paper bags are offered to customers.
