THE mystery of who Selena Gomez was talking about at the Golden Globes has supposedly been solved by fans.
Selena, 32, whispered something in her best friend, Taylor Swift’s, ear that had the singer dropping her jaw.

In January, the Only Murders in the Building actress talked with Taylor, 34, and Keleigh Teller, Miles’ wife.
A rumor surfaced online that Selena had asked Timothee Chalamet for a picture, but was turned down by his girlfriend, Kylie Jenner.
However, she put that rumor to rest and said in a comment on E! News’ Instagram post about it, “Noooooo I told Taylor about two of my friends who hooked up. Not that that’s anyone’s business.”
A source told People that Selena “was absolutely not referencing anything about Timothée or Kylie.”
They also said she never saw or spoke to the couple.
Now, fans think they have figured out who those “friends” are.
SOLVING THE CASE
An X user tweeted about Meryl Streep and Martin Short holding hands at the OMITB Season 4 premiere.
The digital media company, Betches, thinks that is who Selena was talking about.
“Were these the ‘two friends who hooked up’ that Selena whispered to Taylor about at the Golden Globes?” they tweeted.
A reel from Etalk also thinks that two friends who hooked up are Meryl, 75, and Martin, 74.
“Could those friends be her Only Murders castmates, Meryl Streep and Martin Short?” they said in the video.
“These two play lovers on screen, but they have sparked some rumors over the past few months that there might be an off-screen romance.”
However, one Instagram user thinks it’s “PR for Season 4.”
Martin plays Oliver Putnam, one of the three main characters in the show, alongside Selena and Steve Martin.

Rumors that the pair were dating began in January when they sat next to each other at the Golden Globes.
Three months prior, Meryl had split from her husband of 45 years, Don Glummer.
Martin has been a widower since 2010 when his wife, Nancy Dolman, died of ovarian cancer.
The pair have been close friends for years and have not confirmed their relationship.
