Salman Khan’s Maine Pyaar Kiya has re-released in theaters on August 23 and is sure to bring a plethora of nostalgia to experience. While the film received tremendous love and accolades at the time of its release in 1989, it is bound to create waves with its re-release now as well. The film is indeed a remarkable milestone for superstar Salman Khan and anything related to it holds a special place for him.
Recalling a moment when he got emotional from the song Kabootar Ja Ja, Salman said, “I was about 18 years old, and there was a truly memorable moment during the shoot for the song ‘Kabootar Ja Ja Ja’ when I suddenly knew that this was the role for me. During several narrations, I’d imagine Jackie Shroff or Anil Kapoor in those roles, but I could never actually see myself doing big films. That moment was the first time I really felt, ‘Yes, I can do this’. I had tears in my eyes.”
