Gronkowski amazed his Fox NFL co-stars as he jumped from the chopper into the waters just off San Diego.

Fox was marking Veteran’s Day weekend with a special broadcast of the popular NFL pregame show.

The entire crew headed to the Naval Base San Diego for the show to kickoff Week 10 of the season.

Gronk was seen being loaded into a helicopter early in the program.

He was joined by a US navy veteran in the military aircraft.

And the ex-tight end’s jump into the San Diego waters was later shown live.

Gronk didn’t hesitate for a second as he followed his navy veteran escort right into the water after a 25-foot leap.

Fox’s analysts claimed Gronk “can do anything” after his latest heart-stopping stunt.

But Michael Strahan joked, “The one thing he hasn’t learned what to do is say no when asked to do stuff.”

Gronk later emerged by the shore after climbing off a boat with a victorious look.

He received a standing ovation and high-fives from the military personell gathered to watch Fox NFL Sunday.

“You know how to seal the deal,” Strahan barked at him as he handed Gronk a football.

And Gronk spiked the ball in trademark fashion after his successful jump.

The 35-year-old was thankful to the veterans for getting an insight into their world.

“It was a heck of an experience,” Gronk said.

Michael Strahan’s NFL career

Michael Strahan is one of the most recognizable faces on television.

But he came into his media career off the back of a hugely successful stint in the NFL.

Strahan spent 14 years all with the New York Giants from 1993 to 2007.

He was a seven-time Pro Bowler and helped them win the Super Bowl in 2007 – ending the New England Patriots’ hopes of a perfect season.

Strahan was also a two-time NFL sacks leader and also won Defensive Player of the Year.

The ex-Giants star set the single-season sack record with 22.5 in 2001 – a feat which was matched by J.J. Watt exactly 20 years later.

He is one of the best defensive stars to have ever played the game – finishing with 141.5 career sacks and 854 tackles.

“To be able to do an ounce of what you guys do and to be a part of it is incredible.

“It’s truly amazing and we got the job done.

“Mission complete, I can tell you that.”

Strahan then asked his co-star if he was nervous ahead of the stunt.

Gronk admitted, “My heartbeat was racing a little bit because it was the first time doing that.

“The helicopter blades were going really fast and you see the water going all over the place.

“Then you get a tap on the shoulder and you’ve got to go – you have to be precise with it.”
