After celebrating its 30th anniversary by giving free themes to PS5 owners, Sony is adding fifteen games to its game catalog in December. This month’s additions include a healthy dose of underrated and underappreciated triple-A games in the Extra catalog. PS Plus Premium members can finally play through the entire Sly Cooper trilogy natively on PS4 and PS5, bringing the PS2 franchise to modern consoles.
The headliners for PS Plus Extra this month include the “open-zone” Sonic Frontiers and Square Enix’s open-world action RPG Forspoken. Both of these games had a soft launch, with many criticisms directed towards their lack of polish at launch. Hopefully, players can enjoy them now for free.
As for honorable mentions, we recommend picking up both Coffee Talk games as a third entry, Coffee Talk Tokyo, is set for release next year.
