But Kate, slowly returning to work after her cancer diagnosis, will not attend the State Banquet at Buckingham Palace that evening.

The Princess will host her fourth carol concert at Westminster Abbey three days later.

His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Hamad bin Suhaim Al Thani, on Tuesday.

All four will travel to Horse Guards Parade where the Qatari couple receive a Ceremonial Welcome and Guard of Honour with the King and Queen.

Royals fans will be delighted as Kate joins a carriage procession along The Mall to Buckingham Palace – for a second Guard of Honour.

It is expected that she will join the Royal Family at the palace for lunch.

But the princess, who in September revealed she had finished her chemotherapy treatment, will not attend the State Banquet at Buckingham Palace, later in the evening.

The State Visit is seen as a huge step on Kate’s road to recovery and able to attend major Royal events since she made a star turn at Trooping the Colour in June and Remembrance Sunday earlier this month.

She will host her fourth ‘Together at Christmas’ concert at Westminster Abbey next Friday, just days after her State Visit exploits.

Speaking to the UK press in South Africa earlier this month, William said: “I think hopefully Catherine will be doing a bit more next year, so, we’ll have some more trips maybe lined up.”

I know the real reason Prince William and Kate took so long to get married
