THE Price Is Right has shared a clip of a contestant playing one of the show’s hardest games.
On Thursday, The Price is Right posted a game show clip on Instagram featuring contestant Raequel playing the Grand Game.
In the Grand Game, the contestant starts with $1 displayed on a game board and a target price.
The player is then shown a total of six grocery items, four of which are priced below the target price and two of which are priced above.
To play the game, the contestant must select an item they believe is less than the target price and if they are correct, a zero will be added to the display.
This increases the prize amount to $10 after the first guess.

The process is repeated for two more items, with correct answers increasing the winnings to $100 and then $1,000.
To this point in the game, if a contestant selects an item priced above the target price, they leave the amount they’ve collected – including $1 if they’re off the mark on the first selection.
But after reaching $1,000, the player can quit and keep the money or risk losing it all to choose the one remaining product that does not exceed the target price.
If the contestant correctly picks the last item, they win $10,000.
The text over the clip asked, “Can she beat one of the hardest Price Is Right games?”
In the video, Contestant Raequel correctly picked the Tang drink mix to be less than the $10 target price, which host Drew Carey, 66, revealed was priced at $5.99.
Next, she chose a can of sardines.
Again Raequel was right, as the canned fish only cost $4.99.
Her third pic, the Goo Gone remover spray was priced at $8.99.
Drew then told Raequel, “You can stop now if you want because if you miss the next one you lose everything.
The Price is Right Hosts
The Price is Right first came on TV in 1972. Fans fell in love with the game show so much that it has been on for over 50 years. Throughout that time, the show has had a few different hosts. Find out who they are below.
Bob Barker – 1972 to June 2007 (also became executive producer in 1988)
Drew Carey – October 2007 to present
Dennis James – filled in for Bob in 1974 when he missed four episodes, also hosted the nighttime version
Craig Ferguson – 2014 April Fools Day Special
“But $9,000 extra if you get it right.”
Raequel replied, “I don’t know what to do Drew,” before making up her mind and yelling, “The cleanser!”
As Drew approached the cleanser, the host said, “People were chanting protein bars and she chose the cleanser…”
He then clipped down the label to reveal the Olay cleanser cost $7.49.
The bells rang and the audience cheered as Drew announced that Raequel had won, “$10,000.”
The contestant jumped with excitement and ran around the stage as as Drew congradulated her on the win.
FAN REACTION
While fans were happy to see Raequel win the prize money, many took issue with The Price Is Right calling Grand Game one of its “hardest.”
“That’s not a hard game!” exclaimed one fan, adding, “Let’s talk about the probability of winning temptation. Or the probability of winning more than $11,500 on Plinko.”
“Since when did Grand Game become one of the hardest games on the Price is Right?” questioned another.
They continued, “I think it’s a great game, pretty easy if you don’t overthink it!”
A third commenter wrote, “My favorite game, I don’t think it’s one of the hardest. [Three] strikes and Pathfinder [are] two of the hardest.”
“Hard to guess cause prices are different nationwide, lucky lady,” mentioned a fourth.
Another fan provided the secret to getting a leg up in the game as they replied, “The prices are based on MSRP – independent of different areas.”
“This game is easy to me,” commented a confident viewer.
“Trust your gut and give it your all!” exclaimed another.
The post was captioned, “She went with her gut and got the green!”
TWERK-A-HOLIC
Last month, Price Is Right fans could not contain their laughter when a contestant twerked around the studio after he won.
The man could be seen running around the studio and pulling off racy dance moves as well as seemingly suffering a painful injury in the process in a throwback video shared by the game show on Instagram.
“Is this the best Price is Right celebration?” the account asked its followers as they shared the throwback video clip from a past episode.
They then captioned the video clip, “You just *know* he planned that beforehand.”
In the video, the man who had won the game show could be seen cheering and whooping loudly while jumping up in the air.
He then screamed and started to run before touching the back of his leg as though he was in a great deal of pain.
Hopping slightly, the contestant bounced around on one leg before plummeting down to the ground, landing on all fours.
The contestant then pulsated his body, thrusting his bum up and down in a twerking motion before standing back up.
As he walked away, the contestant touched the back of his leg again where he had appeared to injure himself prior to the twerking, with him almost hobbling away in the process.
Fans of the show were quick to comment on the video shared by the game show, with many in hysterics over the hilarious display.
“I love the randomness of the contestants’ reaction when they win,” penned one fan in the comment section.
“I bet producers were crying,” added a second.
“We need a name for what isn’t twerking at all but someone swears it is,” said a third, who didn’t think that the celebratory dance warranted being branded as “twerking.”
“Best!!!! And I happened to see this when it aired originally! I was so excited for him,” added a fourth.
