KANSAS CITY CHIEFS star Patrick Mahomes suggested he is going to make his teammates feel “a little uncomfortable” while “pushing” them to victory.
Mahomes, 29, has won three-time Super Bowls with the Chiefs, including last season’s that saw the Missouri outfit beating the San Francisco 49ers in the final.
The quarterback sat down with NFL legend Tom Brady for an interview on Fox.
And Brady, 47, revealed how the New England Patriots’ legendary head coach Bill Belichick pushed him “outside of his comfort zone”.
The Patriots great added that he in turn quickly realised how he had to do the same to his teammates in his bid to push them to seven Super Bowls.
Brady said: “Coach always pushed me outside of my comfort zone and therefore I was allowed to push other people outside of their comfort zone.
“Certainly, when I got to Tampa, I really wanted to push us to try to win. But I had to make people a little uncomfortable.”
Mahomes completely agrees with Brady and strongly suggested he will do the same to his Chiefs teammates.
In fact, the American star stated he will “push” them even when they’re tired.
Mahomes responded: “I mean, you just hit the nail on the head with that.
“And that’s it, as I’ve gotten to this part of my career I’m pushing these guys even when they’re tired. [It’s] Just how you win.”
NFL fans loved Mahomes’ statement as they took to social media to praise his words.
One fan tweeted: “That’s how you win a Super Bowl.”
Another commented: “Just two GOATs chatting it up.”
A third wrote: “Damn that’s legendary.”
This fan said: “That’s awesome.”
And that one stated: “10 rings right there.”
