WE are now at the business end of the NFL regular season and the world’s best continue to battle for a spot at Super Bowl LIX.
Superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes led the Chiefs to a second successive Super Bowl win in 2024, something that had not been accomplished in 20 years – the last to do so was Tom Brady’s New England Patriots.
And the NFL giants have been tipped to reclaim their crown once again as they currently lead the standings in AFC West and their conference.
On the NFC side of the NFL, the Detroit Lions have earned themselves an 12-1 record, as Dan Campbell’s transformation of the team continues at pace and they look for a Wildcard Week bye.
Expect twists and turns before we find out which two teams will battle it out on the grand stage in New Orleans in February.
And we have put together a playoff picture to give NFL fans a taste of what to expect when teams either go hard or go home, starting January 11 with wildcard weekend.
AFC STANDINGS
Kansas City Chiefs still lead the way. Andy Reid’s team officially secured their ticket to the postseason following a 19-7 win over the Raiders on Black Friday and followed that with a narrow win over the Los Angeles Chargers.
The Buffalo Bills have also extended their season after they beat the 49ers 35-10 in week 13 to claim a fifth successive AFC East title but with the Pittsburgh Steelers are right on their tails after win over the Browns in week 14.
