NFL RedZone host Scott Hanson has revealed the NFL is changing its schedule for the 2024 season.
NFL fans will be treated to a more balanced viewing schedule thanks to changes made by the NFL.
Hanson has revealed that viewers of NFL RedZone are in for a treat, as they will get more games in the late window.
Previously there would only be around two games in the four o’clock window and eight or more in the one o’clock window.
“The NFL does stagger the early window and late window with more games early, fewer games late,” Hanson said on WFAN.
“They want these pseudo national games. They want the Cowboys-Chiefs game to be the Jim Nantz-Tony Romo game on CBS.
“They want a big number there so they put fewer games in the late window.”
Now, there will always be at least three games in the four o’clock window.
“I like if we have 12 games, a good eight-four split,” Hanson said.
“Eight early, full octobox, four games late, quadbox. I think that’s fun and gives you pretty good action throughout the day.”

Hanson revealed that the NFL schedule was changed with NFL RedZone in mind.
“We had a zoom with all of the NFL executives in the offseason,” Hanson said.
“I was told the schedule makers particularly brought up RedZone this year and said ‘we cannot have any two-game late windows.
“So if you look through the schedule, the lowest number we’ll have in the late window is 3.
“And there are many weeks that have 4 games or 5 games in the late window.”
NFL fans rejoiced after hearing the news, saying it was a gamechanger for those who enjoy RedZone.
