THE NFL has given hefty fines to a few Pittsburgh Steelers stars.
Two of quarterback Russell Wilson’s teammates had to pay money to the NFL as punishment for breaking a rule.

The Steelers lost 20-17 to the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday Night Football in Week 5.
Last Saturday, the NFL revealed the fines handed to players who performed controversial actions and unsportsmanlike or violent conduct in Week 5.
The two Pittsburgh players the NFL fined were wide receiver star George Pickens and cornerback Beanie Bishop Jr.
Pickens was fined $10,230 for unnecessary roughness due to a sequence with Cowboys Jourdan Lewis.
Lewis taunted Pickens shortly after the clock hit all zeroes in the fourth quarter.
Pickens then grabbed Lewis’s facemask and threw him to the ground.
Lewis received a $11,255 fine for the ordeal.
The other Wilson teammate Bishop, meanwhile, was fined $4,463 for not wearing a facemask before the game.
The NFL also fined Cowboys safety Donovan for a hit on Pickens during the game.
After the incident with Pickens, Lewis made a comment about the Steelers player.
Lewis said “Pittsburgh need a receiver” and called Pickens “weak.”
The Cowboys defender then backtracked his previous statement when speaking to reporters, saying, “Honestly I shouldn’t have said that. It was an emotional game. There was some chatter on the field.
“One thing led to another. He had a moment, I had a moment.
“It was too much, I shouldn’t have said it.”

Pickens was held to just three receptions for 26 yards for the game.
As for Week 6, Pittsburgh had a bounce-back game, beating the Las Vegas Raiders on the road by a score of 32-13.
Steelers quarterback Justin Fields totaled 145 passing yards with two rushing touchdowns and running back Najee Harris recorded 14 carries for 106 yards and one touchdown.
Pickens’ struggles continued, however, as he dropped two passes and posted three receptions for 53 yards.
He has 26 catches for 363 yards and no touchdowns in six games.
Wilson was active as the backup for the first time in Week 6.
He has dealt with a calf injury that kept him off the field all season.
