“Cris Collinsworth’s hands” was a term that was trending on X on Sunday and Monday after the long-time broadcaster got some screentime during the game.

His hands appeared to be black and blue, causing fans to be concerned for his health.

Collinsworth and his broadcast partner Mike Tirico appeared to not be sheltered from the frigid conditions in Buffalo during the broadcast though, as they were both bundled up in coats and scarfs for the game.

Neither Collinsworth nor Tirico had gloves on, which could have led to the discoloration.

Temps got as low as 26 degrees during the matchup and wind was blowing as hard as 30 mph.

Due to those conditions, Collinsworth could have been suffering from something called peripheral cyanosis.

According to the Cleveland Clinic, this occurs during cold weather “when only your hands, fingers, feet and/or toes turn blue.

“This can happen in very cold weather if your hands and feet aren’t well protected.”

As previously mentioned, Collinsworth’s hands were not protected with gloves.

However, fans have noticed this issue with his hands before, with concern coming during a Week 5 game this season as well.

There were also similar concerns in 2023 for equally discolored hands on Collinsworth.

Fans have flocked to social media to check in on Collinsworth and share their concerns about any potential conditions.

“Wtf happened to Cris Collinsworth’s hand?” one fan said.

“Are Chris Collinsworth’s hands ok? My grandpa’s hands looked like that when he was like 90??” another fan said.

“Cris Collinsworth’s hand does not look good,” a third fan said.
