NBC Criticized For Cutting Lindsey Stirling’s Halftime Show

Following her Thanksgiving NFL halftime show, Lindsey Stirling is feeling thankful for her fans.

The America’s Got Talent alum responded to fans on social media after NBC trimmed down her performance to 10 seconds in its coverage of Thursday’s Green Bay Packers-Miami Dolphins game before cutting to commercial.

“I’m sorry to all my fans who stayed up to watch,” wrote Stirling on her Instagram Story. “We performed our hearts out in the freezing cold for 6 min straight.”

Sharing another follower’s support, Stirling wrote, “So many of you tuned in for my performance. That means so much to me.”

Stirling also addressed her fans on X, sharing a video of her experience at the game. “Thank you so much to the @packers for having us and for treating us like queens!” she wrote. “Thank you to all the Green Bay fans for being so enthusiastic during our performance. It was a night I’ll never forget- my first stadium performance.

“Sorry to all my fans who tuned in to watch and didn’t get to see it. I appreciate all the posts of support,” added Stirling.

One fan wrote on X, “@SNFonNBC Shame on you for not showing Lindsey Stirling’s performance during halftime! That was the only reason I watched this evening! So disappointing!”

Another posted, “What the hell? Was really pumped to see @LindseyStirling play the #Packers halftime show, but only got to see a few seconds. No halftime shows on @NBCSports?”

Someone else demanded the video be released, writing, “@NFL you robbed @LindseyStirling of sharing her FIRST halftime show with the rest of us!! PLEASE put a full video of her amazing performance up for us to watch ASAP. Nobody cuts our Lindsey!”

Stirling was a quarter-finalist on Season 5 of America’s Got Talent in 2010, dancing and performing violin in a mix of hip-hop, pop and classical music.
