NASCAR driver and co-owner of RFK Racing Brad Keselowski has responded to critics following a decision regarding the team’s sponsorship model.
As a prominent figure in the sport, Keselowski used social media platform X to address criticism aimed at their shared sponsorship system. This approach is fundamental to RFK Racing’s operations and has been designed to accommodate their upcoming three-car team structure planned for 2025.
Keselowski’s entry into RFK Racing in 2021 marked a turning point for the team, formerly known as Roush Fenway Racing. His involvement has elevated RFK Racing to championship contention status, thanks to a series of internal projects and operational changes.
The team’s unique approach to sponsorship involves a shared model where primary sponsors are spread across all cars. This method is particularly advantageous, as it ensures equal exposure for each racing crew. Starting in 2025, RFK Racing’s operations will expand to support three cars, utilizing this shared model.

This sponsorship strategy has not been without its critics. Concerns have been voiced within the community regarding the paint schemes for the team’s No. 6 and No. 60 cars under the Castrol sponsorship, which resulted in similar looks for each vehicle, allegedly diminishing their individual identities.
Addressing these concerns directly, Keselowski explained the dual benefits of their approach. He stated:

“1) Our partners get more value due to increased access to our team with all 3 drivers and cars.
“2) Our employees have increased assurance that if a sponsor leaves, we are significantly less vulnerable to not being able to fund a team.”

With over two decades in NASCAR, Keselowski has achieved the rare feat of clinching championships in both the Cup Series and the Xfinity Series. Under his leadership, the RFK Racing team has strengthened its position, evidenced by both its Cup Series entries making it to the NASCAR Playoffs in 2023.
Keselowski intends to capitalize on the tri-car operation at RFK Racing to bolster race wins dramatically. His ambition is clear, as reported by Sportskeeda:
“We want to win races. We want to win more races. We’ve won six point-paying races over the last three seasons, and we want to be able to do that in one season. That would be a good mark for us.”
Speaking about the year ahead, he also commented to the media:
“There are some measurables. But ultimately, we want to be in the conversation with one of our cars and hopefully more than one of our cars on any given race weekend to be able to win. We have shown a lot of progress there, and this is the next step to be more consistent.”
