MICHAEL Strahan is itching to get back on the football field.
Even at 52 years old, the NFL legend is trying to find his way back onto a football team.
During the Week 9 episode of Fox NFL Sunday, Jay Glazer discussed which NFL teams are looking to trade for players at the deadline.
In that segment, he spoke about teams looking for pass rushers that they can acquire.
Strahan heard how many teams were looking for one, and decided maybe he could get back in the game.
“I may have to come out of retirement for that,” Strahan said.
Strahan got down into a three-point stance after making the claim, but pretended to pull a muscle quickly after.
Even at 52 years old, Strahan could probably make an impact in the NFL.
After all, he is one of the greatest defensive players to touch the field, being enshrined in the Hall of Fame for his play.
Strahan had 141.5 sacks in his career and 854 total tackles. He holds the single-season record for sacks with 22.5 in one year.
Fox NFL Sunday didn’t stay on the subject of Strahan’s unretirement for long though, as they had to detail a special episode coming up in Week 10.
The show will head to San Diego for a special Veteran’s Day episode at a military installment.
“Each and every year on Veteran’s Day weekend we have one of our favorite traditions,” Curt Menefee said.
“Taking our show on the road to a military installation to share just a little bit of fun.
“More importantly, honor the men and women of the armed forces past and present.”
The episode will take place at Naval Base San Diego in California.
“This tradition has taken us all over the world on land and at sea,” Menefee continued.
