MELANIA Trump has finally made her first campaign appearance as she stunned at husband Donald Trump’s mega-rally at Madison Square Garden.

Introduced by Tesla mogul Elon Musk, the former US first lady took the stage for a surprise speech as the crowd roared in a standing ovation.

Sporting a black and white animal print dress, she told the 20,000 Trump supporters on Sunday that New York City and America “need their magic back.”

“Hello Madison Square Garden!” Melania began, calling the city “the world’s undisputed capital of industry, where titans of finance, fashion, and entertainment convene.”

Saying that New York is an “unforgiving” city, the former first lady empathized with the audience talking about how “our lives are complicated, even during the best of times.”

“And sadly, today, a declining quality of life, coupled with economic instability, makes it difficult for businesses and American ingenuity to blossom among determined citizens who race across city streets, and between offices, striving for success.”

She went on to declare that crime is not only rising in New York but coast to coast.

Melania only spoke for a brief five minutes before introducing her husband to his signature song “God Bless America”, giving him a big smile as he took the stage.

The couple paused and extended their arms to each other before they gave each other cheek kisses and embraced.

The former first lady has made no secret of her contempt for politics, so this was a rare and startling gesture.

Despite attending the Republican National Convention, she did not speak, and did not attend either of her husband’s presidential debates.

Melania has long said to adore New York City, as it was where she first lived after coming to America as a model.

She currently resides at the city’s Trump Tower with the couple’s son, Barron, who is a student at New York University.

Melania, who has been promoting her memoir and a new jewellery line, spoke about her husband’s second race to the White House for the very first time.

But she still made sure that her speech was less about politics and more about her vision for the nation.

She said: “Envision a wonderful America where the seeds of security, prosperity and health are sown once again for benefit of our families.

“Let us charge together with a shared vision that builds on American greatness.

“Let’s seize this moment and create a country for tomorrow, the future that we deserve.”

Her only mention of her husband’s presidential campaign came at the end, when she said: “Please welcome our next commander in chief, my husband, President Donald J Trump.”

Melania also did not mention Trump’s Democrat rival Kamala Harris, who has been locked in a dead heat in the polls against him.

The former president, however, launched a host of fiery attacks on Harris last night, in a rally that saw his pals label her the “Antichrist” and the “devil”.

Businessman Grant Cardone also told the crowd that Harris “and her pimp handlers will destroy our country.”

Donald Trump took to the stage in front of 20,000 supporters in Madison Square Garden in New York City on Sunday.

During his speech, Trump called Vice President Kamala Harris “grossly incompetent” and dubbed the former prosecutor a candidate with “a very low IQ.”

He said: “This election is a choice between whether well have four more years of gross incompetence and failure, or whether well begin the greatest years in the history of our country.

“She’s unfit for office. Everyone knows it.

“No one respects her, no one trusts her, no one takes her seriously.”

Trump’s son Donald Trump Jr., meanwhile, followed his brother Eric to the stage, calling his dad the “King of New York,” and insisting he would “reclaim the city that he built”.

Trump himself vowed to take the Big Apple back, projecting he would become the first Republican in 40 years to win the state.

He said: “We want to win our country, but we also want to win New York and make it safe and strong and beautiful and affordable and vibrant again.

“When I left, New York was the place you wanted to be and now people just don’t speak well of it. But we’re going to bring it back.

“And we’re going to bring it back strong.”

Trump’s main policy points
