All customers need to do to indulge on the cheap is download the McDonald’s app and order it through there, according to People.

Foodies can also get their hands on the chain’s infamous $5 meal deal which is going until December.

This offer includes a McDouble or McChicken burger with fries, chicken McNuggets and a fizzy drink.

The McDonald’s president said: “Customers are looking for even more great value from us, and this summer that’s exactly what they’ll get.”

It comes after they launched a brand new drink for its all UK customers last months after the Grimace Shake proved to be a hit in the US.

The sweet treat is purple and features a blueberry-flavoured syrup blended with a creamy milkshake base.

A medium drink will set you back £2.69, while a large version of the shake is £2.99, though prices can vary depending on location.

The shake is inspired by the fast food chain’s purple Grimace mascot, which was first introduced in the 1970s.

The fictional figure was initially an evil character who stole milkshakes from customers.

Meanwhile, Maccies fans across the UK and Ireland have been nabbing three dishes for a total of just £3 since the deal launched on July 31.

But last month, the chain announced foodies had just days left to take advantage of the fast food giant’s £3 meal deal.

When the deal was last on, between May 22 and June 10, foodies could pick a miniature McFlurry as part of the offering – but this was left out of the more recent offer.

Fast-food fans had until August 28 to bag three items including a Cheeseburger, Apple Pie or Mayo Chicken for just £3, or £1 a dish.

There were eight items to choose from, with a whopping 100 possible food combinations.

The chain plans to open a further 200 restaurants across the UK and Ireland over the next four years.

It marks the largest expansion programme for more than 20 years by the Big Mac maker.

McDonald’s UK business currently has 1,435 restaurants across the UK, with around four-fifths owned and operated by franchisees.
