MCDONALD’s has set social media alight with a tantalizing clue about a long-awaited comeback.
A single tweet from the fast-food giant has sent fans scrambling to decode the exact date when one of the most requested menu items will return.
The cryptic message, posted on December 5, simply read: “snack wraps xx.xx.2025.”
It has since racked up over 21 million impressions, sparking excitement and speculation among devoted Snack Wrap fans.
One enthusiastic user, monadbull, replied: “we’re so back”.
It prompted McDonald’s to respond with: “see u next year on xx.xx.”
The exchange has left fans guessing, with many hoping the wrap will make its grand return as early as January 1.
The Snack Wrap, once a staple of the McDonald’s menu, earned a loyal following for its convenient size and delicious combination of crispy or grilled chicken, shredded lettuce, and cheese, all wrapped in a soft tortilla.
Despite its popularity, the item was discontinued in 2016, leaving fans clamoring for its return ever since.
Now, with the promise of a 2025 comeback, fans are reigniting their love for the iconic wrap, flooding social media with pleas and predictions.
One hopeful commenter wrote, “Please say 01/01!!!” while another added, “Better be 01/01.”
It comes as McDonald’s launched a new frappe flavor.
Inspired by an iconic Latin dessert, the Dulce de Leche Frappe is available nationwide for sweet tooths to indulge in.
McDonald’s is making the holiday season a little sweeter with its newest McCafe creation, a dulce de leche-inspired frappe.
Dulce de leche is a popular Latin American flavor made by slowly heating sugar and milk over several hours.
The new McDonald’s dulce de leche treat features a caramel coffee frappe base and dulce de leche syrup blended with ice and topped with whipped cream and crunchy caramel pieces.
The fast food chain unveiled the limited-time frozen beverage with a campaign celebrating the Latin roots of the traditional flavor.
“Dulce de leche goes by many names,” shared McDonald’s. “Whether you know it as cajeta, manjar, manjar blanco, arequipe, milk candy, fanguito, doce de leite, leche quemada or any other name, this sweet staple is a unifying flavor for Latinos, evoking memories of home, no matter where you’re from.”
“McDonald’s is serving up this iconic flavor with the Dulce de Leche Frappé–a deliciously nostalgic treat set to transport you back to abuela’s kitchen, your childhood candy store or the corner panadería.”
McDonald’s partnered with Iñaki Godoy, a rising Mexican actor best known for his role in the Netflix show One Piece, for the campaign.
The chain is further celebrating the new flavor with dulce de leche carritos, or carts.
The carts are popping up at select McDonald’s locations in Southern California and Miami from 12 to 3 PM local time, serving free samples of the new dulce de leche frappe.
Fans will also have the opportunity to score exclusive merch, win Arch Cards, and more while supplies last.
