Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves McConaughey have spiced up their social media feed with a rather daring lawn mowing session. On Tuesday, August 27, the couple decided to showcase a bit more than their landscaping skills, sharing an NSFW photo on Instagram where they sport nothing but blue button-downs and a whole lot of bare leg.
While they kept it cheeky enough to stick within Instagram’s guidelines — no actual nudity shown — their playful pose did just the trick to promote their Pantalones Organic Tequila.
For those wondering, ‘Pantalones’ translates to ‘pants’ — which were notably absent in the snapshot. Matthew’s caption? “Trim grass, raise glass.”
The image quickly caught fire among fans, with comments ranging from fiery admiration to witty quips.
“🔥🔥🔥 Well, it is pretty hot outside and Matthew McConaughey and Camila are a beautiful couple 😍😍😂😂,” one user wrote. Another fan played along with the theme, saying, “Watch your bush 😂,” while a more starstruck user commented, “The McConaugheys > everyone else.”
This isn’t the first time the McConaugheys have dropped their trousers for the tequila brand. They’ve previously grilled, played croquet, and even pickleball, all sans pants. Their motto? “We’re precious about our tequila, not our pants.”
Despite the lightheartedness, not everyone was amused. One commenter expressed concern: “Sometimes they do things they shouldn’t. Just because you’re a celebrity doesn’t mean you should do some of the things they have done. You do have kids.”
Explaining the reason to forgo pants in a statement earlier this year, the 54-year-old Hollywood legend said, “With the explosion in popularity of tequila, there’s a level of snootiness that’s crept into the category. People now talk about tequila the way they talk about wine. While we’re all for being passionate about tequila, we wanted to remind people that, above all, it’s meant to be fun. That’s where the name Pantalones came from and that’s why you won’t see us wearing any.”
Matthew and Camila, 41, who moved back to Texas about a decade ago for more privacy, tied the knot in 2012. They first met in 2006 at a bar in Los Angeles and have since brought 3 kids into the world — Levi, 16, Vida, 14, and Livingston, 11.
