For more than a year, Margot Robbie was considered the queen of “method” dressing.
In other words, she not only transformed herself into Barbie on screen, but she also treated us to an impressive range of pink Barbiecore outfits and Barbie doll references during the press tour for the film and at several other award ceremonies, such as the Golden Globes.

Not pink, but black. Not playful, but pared down. No doll-like perfectly laid hair, but an “imperfect” undone look. No pink blush, but nude make-up. At the height of the award season, of all times, Margot Robbie leaves Barbie behind in a power dress.
The floor-length dress by Versace looks almost statuesque thanks to the stiff fabric, which is gathered at the hips in several drapes, with her teaming it with a chunky bracelet and matching ring by Fred Leighton.

Coincidence or intention? Of course, we don’t know for sure, but it feels like Margot Robbie is saying to the world: “I’m ready for my next role.”
And maybe she just didn’t feel like playing Barbie anymore. Either way, we think this “new” Margot Robbie looks beautiful and are excited to see more major fashion moments from the actor.
