Louisiana State University gymnast Livvy Dunne showed her team spirit at LSU’s first home football game of the season on Sunday, September 8.
Posing arm in arm with her teammate Chase Brock, the 21-year-old NCAA champion uncannily resembled the fan-favorite “twinning” emoji in matching black tops and mini-skirts, each sticking a leg out to the side just like the miniature blonde dancing women. 👯
The dynamic duo also each wore cowboy boots–Dunne’s were a tiger print while Brock, 22, wore a more classic black pair.
Teammate Alyona Shchennikova commented “The best of times!” on the post, while Dunne’s sister Jules wrote “A game day slay.” Several fans also chimed in with how great the duo looked. “The boots are giving 😍”said one commenter. One follower jokingly tried to impress Dunne by referencing her ball-playing boyfriend, writing, “i actually taught paul skenes how to throw a fast ball.”
“Can i get a geaux tigers?!” Dunne captioned her carousel of Instagram photos, referencing the famous rallying cry of the university. The friends appeared to be overjoyed to be back in the bleachers, where they held some silly poses and blew kisses to the camera. Because their college gymnastics career was interrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic, Dunne, Brock, and several of their teammates were given an extra year of eligibility to compete, according to Sports Illustrated.
The team spent Labor Day Weekend bonding at a beach house in preparation for the upcoming fall semester. The NIL icon told the Daily Mail that she has made as much as six figures for a single Instagram post, shared several snaps of herself with teammates Haleigh Bryant and Alexis Jeffrey.
Dunne’s profile has risen even higher since she and her boyfriend Paul Skenes made their relationship public in August 2023. Skenes is a fellow LSU alum who now plays for the Pittsburgh Pirates and was the starting pitcher in the 2024 All Star Game. The pair have attended several events together and even share a puppy.
According to the LSU Reveille, Dunne and her fellow LSU fans had plenty of reasons to celebrate after the September 8 game, as the Tigers ultimately beat the Nicholls State Colonels 44-21.
