LIVERPOOL are edging closer to signing personal terms with Federico Chiesa.
The Juventus winger, 26, is set to sign a four-year contract after talks occurred on Monday.
Chiesa has made it clear he wants to join Liverpool if the clubs can agree a fee.
He has one year left on contract and is valued at around £12.5m, which would be a steal for Liverpool to secure his services.
The personal terms agreement between Chiesa and Liverpool is “almost done”, according to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano
Final details of the deal are being sorted today.
Chiesa scored nine times across 33 appearances in Serie A last season, but wants to be part of Arne Slot’s new Anfield regime.
The Italy international has been frozen out by the new Juventus manager Thiago Motta after being a regular under Max Allegri.
Motta even left him out of Juventus’ pre-season squad.
After bursting on the European scene in his early Serie A years, he’s struggled since returning from a serious knee injury.
The Reds completed their first signing of the summer on Tuesday when landing Valencia goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili for £29m.
