Live Results Of Juan Franciso Estrada Vs. Jesse ‘Bam’ Rodriguez Tonight On DAZN

Legend Juan Francisco Estrada will defend his WBC super flyweight title tonight against the young unbeaten star Jesse ‘Bam’ Rodriguez in the 12-round headliner on DAZN.

Former IBF flyweight champion Sunny Edwards (21-1, 4 KOs) won an eight-round technical decision over Adrian Curiel (24-6-1, 5 KOs).

The advice of the ringside doctor halted the fight due to a cut on the forehead of Edwards. The cut was caused by a clash of heads in the sixth. The scores were 90-82, 88-84 and 87-85.

– WBC female super bantamweight champion Yamileth Mercado (24-3, 5 KOs) retained her title with a ten-round unanimous decision victory over Ramla Ali (9-2, 2 KOs). The scores were 98-92, 98-93, and 97-93.

Estrada (44-3, 28 KOs) has his work cut out for him in this fight because his age, size, and activity work against him against the 24-year-old ‘Bam’ Rodriguez (19-0, 12 KOs), who looks like an unstoppable train.

It will require that the 34-year-old Estrada turn back the clocks to have a chance of winning tonight. Surprisingly, so few boxing fans pick Juan Francisco Estrada to defeat ‘Bam’ Rodriguez.

Estrada didn’t look his best in his last two fights, but his motivation will be high tonight against Rodriguez, given that so few fans are giving him a chance in this fight.

They feel this is a cakewalk for Bam. However, Rodriguez had huge problems the last time he fought at 115 in his fight against Israel Gonzalez in September 2022, and Estrada sees this as a signal that he’s not suited to the super flyweight division.

Former IBF flyweight champion Sunny Edwards (20-1, 4 KO) will look to bounce back from his recent loss when he takes on Adrian Curiel (24-5-1, 5 KO) in the 12-round chief support bout in the 112-lb division.

Sunny could steal the show with an impressive performance against Curiel. His entertaining style of fighting makes for a lot of drama. In Sunny’s loss to Bam Rodriguez last December, he gave him a tough fight despite being outgunned in power and size.
