The loss came hot on the heels of the Lakers’ awful 109-80 blowout by the Minnesota Timberwolves on Monday.

During the clip in question, the Lakers played a sequence of pathetic defense.

Jimmy Butler found Duncan Robinson completely unguarded under the rim.

During the play, Anthony Davis and Rui Hachimura stood static guarding no one.

While LeBron James appeared to try to hide by guarding the corner… even though there was nobody there.

Robinson surprisingly decided to pass back out to Bam Adebayo on the perimeter.

Adebayo then swung the ball to Tyler Herro, who splashed a wide open three.

The three-ball made it 77-56 with 9:10 remaining in the third quarter.

And fans were left in disbelief at the remarkably poor defensive effort.

“Who is LeBron guarding and boxing out?” one asked on X.

“Most pathetic defensive effort I’d ever seen,” a second claimed.

“Lakers playing so little defense in the paint the Heat are just toying with them now lol,” a third pointed out.

“Grade school defense is better,” a fourth wrote.

Magic Johnson called it “embarrassing”.

‘I’M EMBARRASSED, WE’RE ALL EMBARRASSED’

The Lakers are now 12-10, having dropped six of their last eight games, and sit ninth in the Western Conference.

James, who turns 40 later this month, has started all 22 games so far this season.

After last night’s game, rookie coach Redick blasted his team’s effort.

“I’m embarrassed, we’re all embarrassed,” the 40-year-old admitted. “It’s not a game that I thought we had the right fight, the right professionalism.

“Not sure what was lost in translation. There has to be some ownership on the court. I’ll take all of the ownership in the world, this is my team and I lead it and I’m embarrassed.”

The Lakers’ road trip continues tonight as they take on the Atlanta Hawks.
