KIRK Herbstreit beamed with pride and joy after showing off his newest family member.
The ESPN college football analyst was joined Saturday by his new pet dog.
And fans loved the adorable new scenes in Athens, Georgia.
Herbstreit broke down in tears live on College GameDay last week.
He lost his beloved dog Ben after his cancer had spread to vital organs.
The ESPN star couldn’t hold back his emotions as his colleagues paid tribute to Ben.
But Herbstreit looked a lot happier on assignment this week.
He brought his dog Pete to the College GameDay set and shared plenty of adorable content on social media.
Golden retreiver Pete starred in a segment as well when he joined a bulldog on stage.
Herbstreit was working the Georgia Bulldogs clash with the Tennessee Volunteers this week.
He also took Pete onto the field before the game.
One fan said, “He’s making you and Ben so very proud.”
Another wrote, “I’ve never seen a lovelier and more proud dog – 10/10.”
While a third posted, “I can’t stop marveling at him. He’s too cool.”
And one more commented, “He’s looking pretty darn proud. Awesome.”
Herbstreit also made a major revelation on Saturday’s College GameDay.
The ESPN star told fans he his no longer part of the college football playoffs rankings show on the network.
“I retired from that,” Herbstreit said.
Last week, Herbstreit thanked fans for their messages of support after Ben’s death.
“I’m sorry I couldn’t properly lead to this beautiful tribute College GameDay put together,” he said.
“Really wanted to thank all of you for the avalanche of love and support you’ve shown Ben.
“It gives me and my family such comfort knowing how he impacted so many peoples lives around the country.
“He was a beautiful and loving soul.”
