KFC is bringing the mouth-watering scent of two popular food items to homes across America.

The Kentucky-based chain just launched two new scented candles – but one isn’t inspired by its iconic fried chicken.

As the holiday season encourages consumers to cozy up indoors, KFC is bringing the warmth with two menu-inspired candle creations.

The fast food giant collaborated with Homesick Candles to launch a Bucket of Chicken candle and a Buttery Biscuit candle. 

The Bucket of Chicken candle is inspired by KFC’s Original Recipe, featuring notes of chicken, browned flour, peppercorn, celery, and a base of oregano, sage, and garlic.

The Buttery Biscuit candle smells like golden honey and baked flour with notes of caramel, butter, and salt, and a base of buttermilk and toasted vanilla.

The soy wax candles are $34.95 each and are available on the Homesick and KFC Shop websites while supplies last.

KFC fans can also bring the scent of the chain’s iconic fried chicken to their cars with the Bucket of Chicken car freshener for $12.

Aside from its food-inspired candles, KFC has delved into scent marketing in the past.

Back in 2016, the fast food chain rolled out sunscreen scented like fried chicken to promote its Extra Crispy Chicken.

Two years later, KFC launched fried chicken-scented fire logs to celebrate the holiday season.

The chain also teamed up with Crocs in 2020 to make bucket-themed shoes with Jibbitz charms that smelled like fried chicken.

At the time, KFC shared that these kinds of products helped to generate buzz on social media and build brand awareness.

KFC fans can now indulge in the aroma of its menu items and the real thing.

The chain has introduced a $25.99 Festive Feast just in time for Thanksgiving, available exclusively online.

The meal deal comes with six pieces of Original Recipe fried chicken, six of KFC’s new Original Recipe Tenders, two large sides, and three sauces.

KFC is also offering several limited-time holiday deals to members of its loyalty program.

As part of its Friendsgiving deal, KFC rewards members can score a free large side of their choice when they spend $5 or more.
