Kevin Owens Says He Suffered Major Injury at WWE Crown Jewel

WWE Crown Jewel 2024 saw multiple high profile matches, including two championships being defended and two new titles making their debuts.

One highly-anticipated match was Kevin Owens vs. Randy Orton, which pitted the former friends and tag team partners against each other.

However, the match would never take place.

Instead, Owens immediately attacked Orton, never allowing him to reach the ring or have the bell rung to start the match.

The brawl would see multiple officials getting involved, including Owens hitting a Stunner on a referee and Orton hitting an RKO on Raw General Manager Adam Pearce.

In response, the match was canceled and never took place. Still, both superstars would continue fighting into the crowd, where Owens would silence Orton with an elbow drop.

Orton was carted out of the arena on the stretcher while Owens limped backstage.

Later, in an interview segment with Cathy Kelly, Owens revealed that he believed he had suffered a major injury during the brawl with Orton.

“I never wanted any of this, I never even wanted this match,” Owens said. “The match didn’t really happen, did it? But that’s okay. To see Randy walk out, no, ’cause he didn’t walk out, he was wheeled out.”

“You know what we did? We walked out of that accident we were in, so Randy Orton feels even worse than he did after, feels worse than I do now. I think I broke my ribs but I walked out. Yeah I got what I wanted.”

There’s no telling what this means for Owens or Orton since it looks like both superstars took quite a beating. In the end, the only thing we know for sure is that Cody Rhodes needs to keep his eye out for Owens.
