Smith-Schuster will likely sign at his veteran minimum of $1.21 million for 2024, NFL Insider Jordan Shultz reported.

The New England Patriots who cut the wide receiver will have to pay Smith-Schuster $7 million minus whatever he earns elsewhere this season, according to Spotrac.

NFL fans flooded to social media to share their thoughts on the Chiefs’ recent move.

“They can’t keep getting away with this!” said one fan.

“How much help does Mahomes need,” a second fan wrote to X, adding three laughing cat emojis.

“Is he even a weapon anymore?” questioned a third.

“Makes me wonder if Hollywood [Brown] is going to miss some time,” a fourth speculated.

“Didn’t expect this but makes sense,” said a fifth fan.
